The last few weeks.............

Finally got around to ordering a new carb for the truck in my search for "carb nirvana". It needs a little more tuning and maybe a float adjustment but the Motorcraft 2150 is the ticket for a mild slant! This one is flows 351 cfm (1.21 venturis  and is off a 351- 400 Ford. The 2150 is pretty much identical to the 2100 but the 2150 has a port for the vacuum advance.
I gave up a little bit of performance (I will be able to tune it back in) and my gas mileage damn near doubled!
I also picked up a complete mopar 8 3/4" rear with the open 3.91 gears I was looking for. With the overdrive, 2 bbl carb and 3.91's my gas mileage and performance should all mesh!

Last few weeks...........

Got the 394 for the 56 Olds flushed out and ready for new freeze plugs and paint. I am hopeing to get this engine swapped into the car in the next few weeks if the weather starts to dry out. Whoever had this engine rebuilt it but didn't have it hot tanked.

Got Daryls 48 ready for paint, engine, tranny, rearend and rewire. It will be an awesome daily driver with a heater now!

The last few weeks.......

Bought an old shifter kart with an 80cc 6 speed. Pulled out the 80cc because I picked up a 360cc 6 speed yamaha. Ordering new bearings, sprocket and chain. Might extend the frame behind the seat by 5" so the new engine and new seat will fit (I'm 6'2")...

Started on the dash for the truck.

I haven't forgotten to update this I've just been running my ass off as! I have been taking pics of everything I'm doing and will be updating this blog as soon as I get some spare time to do so. Also bought a new toy!

1970 Triumph T120R Got it with no engine and as a roller but I have a line on a good 650 unit.

Lot of stuff going on, new parts and new toys. Lots of pics and the Olds bio as soon as I get a chance to sit down and do it.
